Saint Gorgon's Church

LESSY

Saint Gorgon church stands out for the massiveness of its 13th-century square bell tower-dungeon, with thick walls (1.60 m) pierced by loopholes. The portal dates from the 15th century. The central nave vault collapsed in 1793. The oculus choir dates from the 15th century. In the bell tower chapel, Gothic frescoes depict Saint Peter and Saint Paul. The Lessy bell tower features 3 small sundials on its south face. Church closed to the public.
