The Société Française d'Ethnopharmacologie (SFE) is located at the Franciscan Cloister of the Récollets in Metz, and helps to run the medicinal and toxic plant gardens. A medieval monument dating back to the 13th century, with gardens containing the famous witches' magic plants; dreaded and feared plants with a thousand powers. Powers held by witches who transform herbs into potions, philtres and other ointments.
A look at the city's medieval history through theatrical playlets (witch trials), by the Compagnie L'Héraudie messine and the witch Karamélis. Workshops on medieval cooking, nutrition, hygiene, writing, science and technology, archery and the use of drugs for arrows.
. Grimoire game and treasure hunt for children (and adults).
. Soup tasting, pancakes and other magic potions.
. Visit the Apothicarium, a museum of curiosities used in the composition of medicines.
. Candy hunt
