Protected under the Plan Départemental des Itinéraires de Promenade et de Randonnée (PDIPR), this network of trails was created with the support of the Communauté de Communes du Pays de Freyming-Merlebach, the Département de la Moselle, Moselle Attractivité, the Comité Départemental de la Randonnée Pédestre, and the Office National des Forêts.
