On the planet Gy, or rather the "plane of Gy", the inhabitants are a lot like us, except that they sport feathers, and sometimes even wings, which grow at the time of puberty. A peculiarity seen not as a blessing but as a curse. So what to do with these wings? Hide them? Or deploy them and fly, risking a fall? American SF and fantasy writer Ursula K. Le Guin has always explored gender, feminism, ecology... In this adaptation of one of her short stories, an ethnologist comments in voice-over on the habits and customs of the strange tribe evolving before our very eyes. Between spectacular headdresses, hairy monsters and strange pink fruits falling from the sky, an abundant universe unfolds... A fable that, through an imaginary folklore, invites us to reflect on the notion of difference and the inevitable risk-taking that constitutes life itself.
