Between Apach and Novéant-sur-Moselle, over a distance of 80 km, the Voie Bleue cycle route takes you safely through the Moselle valley. The vineyard slopes of the Pays de Sierck are followed by a more urbanised area south of Thionville as far as Metz. Some rather unusual landscapes dot the route: the port of Illange, the U4 blast furnace at Uckange, the ponds of Saint-Rémy towards La Maxe, with the Moselle as the common thread. Combining heritage and remarkable biodiversity, this route offers a bucolic Moselle escapade within easy reach of the handlebars. You can continue on to Lyon, where the Saône and Rhône rivers meet.
