Relive a battlefield on the very site of the August 1870 fighting! This museum is the only one to present the Franco-German war of 1870 and its consequences, including the annexation of Alsace and Moselle from 1871 to 1919.

The 900 m² permanent exhibition presents French and German collections of particular rarity. Military objects stand alongside remarkable paintings, sculptures, elements of monuments and objects of everyday life.
