LA CASCADE DES ONDINES
LA CASCADE DES ONDINES
LEMBERG
The Ondines Waterfall was originally known as Wasserfelsen (water rock). This natural site is worth the detour.
At the top, there is an ols lavoir, a place for washing clothes. the wall was built in 1860, the same time that the railway linking lemberg and Bitche was built. from its source, the water flows over several plaques of sandstone forming beautiful waterfalls which are spactacular in winter. This little stream is the beginning of the Zinsel du Nord.
Access: Can be reached by following the yellow circle signs down the steps from the Club Vosgien chalet at Lemberg.
