The sunny slopes of the nature reserve are home to 23 species of orchids, as well as numerous plants, some of which have southern affinities. In addition to the variety of plant species, the most spectacular of which are the orchids, which bloom from May to June, the nature reserve is home to many butterflies. In autumn you can also discover wild berries and fruits. The nature reserve of Montenach consists of 6 hills surrounding the village and covers an area of 107 hectares.
