Historic monument or place to visit in RECHICOURT LE CHATEAU, on the theme(s) Industrial & technological heritage.
Built as a reservoir for the Marne-Rhine canal, the Réchicourt-le-Château pond is divided into five basins, one of which is still used for merchant and pleasure boating. Renowned for its tourist appeal, this place welcomes you all year round and allows you to discover its rich fauna and its arboretum. The construction of the Grande Écluse, from 1962 to 1965, made it possible to replace 6 locks. The lock is only in operation during the period of authorised navigation on the canal, from April to October.
