Musée Les Mineurs Wendel
The old coal-washing plant in the Parc Explor Wendel, built in 1891 and modernised in 1961, is a monumental structure which was used for sorting and washing the coal before it was packaged and dispatched by rail. Today, the equipment used for processing the coal has gone, leaving a 1500 m² hall. Today, this miners’ cathedral, as the locals like to call it, hosts groups and companies for all kinds of events (conferences, seminars, Christmas and New Year celebrations, etc.). Arrangements are made by contacting the Pays de Forbach Tourist Office directly, and they will take care of organising your events. Tel: 03 87 85 02 43.
