On the site of today's "Quartier Ville Haute", the manufacturing workshops, packaging and shipping departments and offices of the "Société des Frères Adt" were located. An internationally-renowned firm until the First World War, the Adt factory was Forbach's main employer in the second half of the 19th century. Since the 1990s, the area has been completely restructured as part of a concerted development zone.
