Inspired by the footballer Achraf Hakimi and the last World Cup in Qatar, this play tells the story of a brilliant young Moroccan footballer who, like her illustrious role model, wants to play for Morocco rather than for the country where she was born and raised. Incomprehensible to her mother, who chose to emigrate... Where are we really from? And when you're from more than one place, to whom do you owe your loyalty? Dual culture, shifting identity and transmission are subjects shared by French-Moroccan director Ali Esmili (Mimoun and Zatopek) and Lebanese-born author Mona El Yafi. Using the world of professional soccer as a backdrop, they show us with finesse that the experience of migration can have many facets. And finally, they challenge us: what if we put the word "loyalty" in the plural, just to see? Ages 14 and up.
How to get there ?
