The steel industry has shaped our regions, as has the sociology of the people who come from here and there. Industrial crises have turned our landscapes upside down. Many of us feel torn between pride in our shared past and a sense that the social bonds inherited from this history and its upheavals are crumbling. Does this industrial, cultural and social heritage still constitute an asset for the attractiveness and future of our territories and future generations?
