Storytelling, singing and music by Bérengère Charbonnier
Instruments: zither, guitar, cello and voice
In Merlines, a small town in Corrèze, one of the birthplaces of the troubadours and trobaïritz, it's snowing, the fire is crackling, the soup is simmering and tongues are wagging, the wake can begin.
It's in Paulette's café that tales of solidarity, cold and travel will be shared, accompanied by nursery rhymes and sensitive strings, voice, guitar, cello and zither.
Tales covered during the evening: pebble soup, the little match girl, Lohi the witch, the devouring wolf, Toinou and Toinette, the mitten and a few nursery rhymes and lullabies.
The storytelling is designed to be participatory, with refrains to be repeated and tales to be shared. Humor, music and emotion call for sharing, words and feelings.
