For its traditional Christmas concert, the Harmonie municipale de Metz performs a work that will delight young and old alike: Camille Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals.
Composed in 1886, this humorous collection musically depicts a large bestiary, and does so with formidable effectiveness: from the lion's regal march to the obsessive cuckoo, or the imposing elephant, not forgetting the swan, poetic and graceful...
The well-known original work will be performed in a totally new version, combining dance and wind band.
Other surprises will be added to this fantastic and joyful program.
