This Mediterranean-inspired terraced garden, laid out between 1979 and 1984, owes its name to the rue des Tanneurs below, which was a branch of the Seille lined with tanneries until the sewage works of the early 20th century. Facing south and sheltered from the cold winds, the garden is home to southern vegetation, surprising for the region: palm trees, fig trees, lemon trees, eucalyptus, cypresses...
