Historic monument or place to visit in METZ, on the theme(s) Military interest, awarded with the Label Listed historic monument (MH).
The Fort de Queuleu remains one of the rare witnesses of the fortified works built between 1868 and 1872 to defend Metz. During the last annexation, 2,563 Mosellans were arrested by the Gestapo and deported to Germany. 1500 of these patriots were interned in Casemate A of Fort Queuleu.
