On the mine floor stands the headframe, a vestige of mining. At a height of 35 meters, the top of the headframe offers a panoramic view of the Pays-Haut. As we enter the buildings, the smell and noise of the machinery mingle with our visit. Enthusiasts show us how the machines work. We take our place at the controls of the extraction machine and head for the loading dock for a 200-meter descent. Audio-guides available in German / English / Dutch / Italian.
