Straight lines, geometric figures, a refined style... Art Deco is coming to the table in Sarreguemines!
This world-famous style, which influenced architecture and the decorative arts, did not escape the attention of the Faïenceries de Sarreguemines, who used it extensively in their production, particularly on dinner services produced from 1910 onwards.
During the inter-war period, the factory's designers were able to create a wide range of designs and shapes influenced by the work of Parisian artists, some of whom were avant-garde, rediscovered after 1918, as well as by the artists who had come to or trained in Germany during the Annexation period.
The works and sketches of renowned artists, including Jean Luce, are displayed alongside the exceptional work of industrial designers who, although anonymous, are essential to the reputation of the Faïenceries de Sarreguemines.
