Historically, right and left have fought over the very definition of progress, between economic innovation, social justice and individual freedoms. While the left often claims collective emancipation as the driving force behind progress, the right opposes it with a vision rooted in order and efficiency. But in technological, environmental and social upheavals, is this opposition still relevant? Does progress belong to one camp, or does it transcend these traditional cleavages?
