Carmina Burana: the title means "Songs of Beuren", after the Bavarian abbey where the medieval poems that inspired Carl Orff were found.
After the score''s famous prologue, the work exalts pleasure, be it love, eroticism, money or wine, in a caricature of human foibles. This picturesque plunge into the depths of madness contrasts with the mystical universe of Eaux célestes, a colorful orchestral painting. The fast-rising young composer Camille Pépin draws her inspiration from an ancient Chinese legend recounting the creation of the Milky Way.
