Sergei Prokofiev. In the loft of a vertiginous New York skyscraper, Cinderella, the one who "lives among the ashes", is under the thumb of her two stepsisters and her stepmother. One day, a beggar woman (actually a fairy) arrives and rewards Cinderella for her warm welcome with a ball gown. At the ball, Cinderella falls in love with the Prince. She stays until midnight, when the spell wears off. She leaves behind her slipper, which the Prince will use to find her. Will he continue to love her once the spell is broken? Based on Perrault's famous tale, Cinderella has become one of the greatest ballets in the repertoire.
