Serving one of the oldest and largest Jewish communities in France which has contributed considerably to the city’s reputation, the synagogue was built in Romanesque Revival style from 1848 to 1850 in rue du Rabbin Elie Bloch. Many events are held each September to celebrate the European Days of Jewish Culture in Lorraine.
